This is the easiest thing to happen in this day and age.
Especially when we are bombarded and can get lost in Social Media’s dreamy existence of beautiful images, inspirational quotes and imaginary table settings.
All illusions of happiness that others seem to have and we so desperately desire. We can easily loose perspective on who we are while we are focusing on and dreaming of becoming “them”.
As much as I have aspired to have a minimalistic “black and white” blog for the longest time ever, I finally had to admit that that is just not who I am. I did not even want to be “them”… I just wanted to be ME but a different “me” from the one I was. It was an exhausting journey and since I constantly tried to go against my own nature, it did not really get me anywhere. It was a tug of war within. The biggest lesson for me came when I stopped trying to be who I think I want to be and rather just be the best version of who I really already was. And constantly just improving and improvising on the real me.
So, you will find me adding color around every nook and corner despite my best efforts to keep it neutral.
When life gets too dull, I try to inspire myself and others around me by adding some “life sparkles”. They are not real …because you will nowhere in my house or on my face or in my decor find real sparkles.
They are just my own spice that I hope I add in the online world when I look at things my way or in a different way. And hopefully it shines more after than before it was given the attention it craved.
I love spending time with beautiful things, happy people, loved ones, good music, creative outlets and I never go to bed on time.
But life is good and always can be better.
As long as we have the will to live and the desire to change. No problem with dreaming, as long as we remember to live.
If you love being you, if you love adding sparkles to others and things, if you have dreams, but you also want to live here and now, let me know, by leaving a short message in our GuestBook here.
